Welcome to Bothell: For a Day or a Lifetime

The Puget Sound is a wonderful place to live for many reasons and Reader’s Digest recently took note of one Eastside city that offers community charm and considerable kindness. Bothell, Washington is a suburb of Seattle, located at the Northernmost tip of the Eastside Corridor. It offers a small-town feel with a welcoming spirit, even after recent growth, and was the recent runner-up on Reader’s Digest “Nicest Places in America”.

I spend quite a bit of time in Bothell and have been doing business in the city for several years. Every time I visit, I find myself growing even fonder of the small city. New projects throughout the town continue to afford residents with an incredible high quality of life. Through the last few years there have been several large-scale upgrades, including wider boulevard streets and sidewalks designed for easy access to the town center, that have continued to make Bothell even greater.

McMenamin’s acquired the city’s first Junior High School and several years ago they debuted the campus as a center for dining, movies, swimming, games, and more, where guests can stay and play. Keeping its original name, The Anderson School is composed of multifaceted grounds that pay tribute to the building’s past. If you haven’t visited McMenamin’s, I highly recommend that you stop by to see the diverse offerings for yourself. The school is just one of the many additions along Bothell Way.

A new apartment building sits atop various restaurants, shops and other conveniences just blocks away, and a newly designed park at Bothell Landing offers the perfect venue to spend time outdoors. A beautiful new City Hall and Fire Department are also nestled within downtown.

University of Washington Bothell further adds to the appeal of the town, offering a myriad of programs right in your backyard. The satellite campus offers on-campus housing for students and there are several nearby cafes for the avid student looking for a humble cup of joe.

Homes are affordable and builders have discovered this great small town located just a few miles from Seattle and Bellevue. I’ve seen many clients select the town when seeking a home, and have yet to find one that isn’t happy with their decision.
