The 2019 Fall Giving Season
Fall is the season of giving and this month I’d like to share with you some of my favorite organizations that are fighting for a better world locally and globally.
Bellevue Schools Foundation
Education serves as the foundation for children to build their lives and the Bellevue Schools Foundation seeks to build a connection of schools with programs, systems and processes to help our youth succeed. Serving as a non-profit organization since 1979, the foundation has given local teachers and students the resources needed to make Bellevue one of the most sought-after districts in the region. My friends, colleagues and I serve as Honor Roll Contributors and every year we continue to be amazed with the advances that are being made.
New Beginnings
For over 40 years New Beginnings has been working to end domestic violence in the Greater Seattle Area. With over 10 million children impacted in the United States each year, New Beginnings aims to eliminate violence within homes. Next month you can join in the fight against domestic violence at their annual luncheon. Hosted by the Seattle Sheraton on October 24th, the event has been carefully curated to empower survivors the increase awareness of the issue to help prevent domestic violence.
Treehouse for Kids
School is back is session and it is the perfect time to donate to those in need. Treehouse for Kids is dedicated to making sure that foster children throughout the state have the essential support needed for academic success. As the leading organization in Washington, Treehouse supports over 7,000 kids each year who are in the foster system.
The world is only as great as we make it, so this season I’d like to challenge you to find a cause that you’re passionate about and do something to show your support.
